Head Radiologist Technologist

Dr. Stephanos Leandrou is a Radiologic Technologist holding a Bachelor of Science in Medical Radiologic Technology. He pursued further studies at the University of Oxford, where he earned a Master of Science in Diagnostic Imaging and specialized in MR Imaging. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from City, University of London (Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering – RCBE), with a research focus on quantitative texture analysis of MRI images for the assessment of Alzheimer’s disease. Since 2013, he has been a faculty member at European University Cyprus teaching Radiology.

Dr. Leandrou is highly specialized in cardiac imaging, with particular expertise in cardiac MRI, and has extensive experience in advanced diagnostic techniques. His primary areas of interest include diagnostic radiology with an emphasis on MRI, medical image analysis, radiomics and the development of computer-aided diagnosis systems aimed at enhancing clinical decision-making and improving patient outcomes.

He is the author of numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences in the fields of medical imaging and radiologic sciences. He is also actively involved in the

organization of various scientific conferences and, for the past five years, has served as a member of the Cyprus Board and Registration Council of Radiologic Technologists and Radiologic Radiotherapists.
